Only candidate who is currently a Judge, taking office in the Court of Common Pleas in February 2025 after being appointed by Governor Josh Shapiro, unanimously recommended by the Senate Judiciary Committee, and approved by the full Senate by a 90% majority.
Previously served as a District Judge since 2022, where she developed an outstanding reputation for fairness and independence.

Meet Judge Mackenzie Smith
Court of Common Pleas Judge Mackenzie Smith is the only candidate who is already a Judge. She has three years of experience as a District Judge serving Malvern Borough and East Goshen, Easttown, Tredyffrin, Westtown, and Willistown Townships, and now serves on the higher Court of Common Pleas. Prior to becoming a judge, Judge Smith was a practicing attorney for 15 years, during which time she handled cases ranging from child welfare to criminal prosecutions to complex commercial litigation. She has practiced in every level of court in both Pennsylvania and the federal system. Judge Smith understands that each step in the legal process is equally important to preserving the integrity of our judicial system and ensuring stability in the law, ultimately allowing citizens to reach their highest potential. Judge Smith’s legal training, broad experience, and understanding of our constitutional system make her the best candidate to strengthen our court system here in Chester County. Judge Smith is dedicated to her family, our community, and the law, and will continue to serve with dedication and humility if elected to a full term this November.
